A generalized Drazin inverse

J. J. Koliha · 1 Sep 1996

The main theme of this paper can be described as a study of the Drazin inverse for bounded linear operators in a Banach space X when 0 is an isolated spectral point ofthe operator. This inverse is useful for instance in the solution of differential equations formulated in a Banach space X . Since the…

SLANT SUBMANIFOLDS IN SASAKIANMANIFOLDS

José L. Cabrerizo, Alfonso Carriazo, Luis M. Fernández et al. · 1 Mar 2000

In this paper, we show new results on slant submanifolds of an almost contact metric manifold. We study and characterize slant submanifolds of K -contact and Sasakian manifolds. We also study the special class of three-dimensional slant submanifolds. We give several examples of slant submanifolds. 1991 Mathematics Subject Classification 53C15, 53C40.

Relations between Ricci curvature and shape operator for submanifolds with arbitrary codimensions

Bang‐Yen Chen · 1 Mar 1999

First we define the notion of k -Ricci curvature of a Riemannian n -manifold. Then we establish sharp relations between the k -Ricci curvature and the shape operator and also between the k -Ricci curvature and the squared mean curvature for a submanifold in a Riemannian space form with arbitrary codimension. Several applications of such…
