Lignolytic activity of the cyanobacterium Anabaena azollae ML2 and the value of coir waste as a carrier for BGA biofertilizer

P. Malliga, L. Uma, Gomathy Sandhya Subramanian · 1 Jan 1996

An axenic laboratory isolate of a heterocystous cyanobacterium Anabaena azollae ML2 exhibited lignolysis and showed polyphenol oxidase and laccase enzyme activities. The ethylene released from α-keto-γ-methylthiolbutyric acid substrate estimated by gas chromatography was an indirect confirmation of the ligninase activity. The spectrophotometric absorbance peaks at 285 and 292 nm in the treated culture filtrates was…

K Hamana, Masaru Niitsu, K Samejima et al. · 1 Jan 1998

Cellular polyamines of several thermophilic eubacteria and archaebacteria were investigated by high performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography. A hyperthermophilic eubacterium, Thermotoga maritima, contained a linear penta-amine and a linear hexa-amine. The moderate thermophiles, Thermotoga elfii and Thermodesulfovibrio yellowstonii contained a linear penta-amine. A quaternary branched penta-amine, N4-bis(aminopropyl)spermidine, was the major polyamine in extremely thermophilic…

Microbios template — frequently asked questions

How do I write a paper in the Microbios format?
In DocuGuru you write your manuscript in a normal editor — no LaTeX setup required — and select the Microbios template. When you export, DocuGuru compiles the paper into the official Cambridge University Press format and hands you a submission-ready PDF along with the editable LaTeX source.
What reference style does Microbios use?
Microbios uses Numbered references, shown as numbered [1], [2] markers in the text. DocuGuru formats every in-text citation and the reference list in this exact style automatically. A reference appears like this: [1] A. Smith, B. Jones, and C. Lee, A representative article title, Microbios 12 (2023) 45–58.
Do I need to know LaTeX to submit to Microbios?
No. DocuGuru generates the null LaTeX class and compiles the PDF for you in the background, so you get a Cambridge University Press-ready Microbios document without writing any LaTeX. If you do want it, the LaTeX source is included in the export.
