Abstract Fundamental principles of chemical transport reactions (CVT) are described including the historical development. Typical transport reactions are regarded with respect to general principles and the thermodynamic background. Some practical aspects (Mond process, halide lamps, hydrothermal synthesis) are discussed.

Die folgende Aufgabe befasst sich mit chemischen Transportreaktionen, die in vielen technischen Prozessen wie der Metallreinigung und der Kristallzüchtung Anwendung finden. Zunächst wird das allgemeine Prinzip erläutert und die Richtung der Stoff‐ und Energietransporte diskutiert. Abschließend wird mit der Halogenlampe ein typisches Beispiel für Transportreaktionen behandelt.
